Rosie’s Cupboard, Inc., a newly formed, local nonprofit will host The Crawfordsville Can Festival on Saturday, June 23rd at the American Legion from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Three bands and various solo acts will provide entertainment, and a food drive will be going on throughout the day. The event will serve as a benefit, and will also include 10 kids’ booths with prizes, concessions, a silent auction, and a raffle.
Rosie’s Cupboard, Inc. was formed in the honor of Rosalee Alvarez, who recently passed away at age 33. The aim of her friends–who make up the Board of Directors–is to open a special new food pantry in Montgomery County within the next four months. Rosie’s Cupboard is devoted to keeping whole families together–including pets! The nonprofit will provide for one dog or cat per household that is served, and also plans to hold special pet events.
Rosie’s Cupboard asks businesses, volunteers, donors, and the community to provide any support that can be offered. They are registered with the Secretary of State, and also have an EIN from the IRS, a P.O. Box, and a business bank account.
